Chop Block is a powerful desktop audio slicer designed for producers, musicians, and sound designers who need precise sample chopping.

Our Mission:

I built Chop Block to speedup how producers approach sample chopping. Traditional methods are slow and repetitive - I wanted to think outside the box and create a streamlined workflow that lets you focus on creativity, not tedious editing.

This tool was designed from the ground up to speed up loop extraction and make sample chopping feel intuitive and musical, not mechanical.

How to Use Chop Block

Quick Start:

Upload an audio file (WAV, MP3, FLAC, AIFF)
Set slice duration or choose a bar length
Drag the box on the waveform to find your sample
Click Play to preview the slice
Click Chop to add it to the chopped samples list/li>
Repeat to create more samples
Export All to download as a ZIP file

Pro Tips:

BPM Detection - The app auto-detects tempo to allow for accurate loop slicing
Bar Lengths - Use 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1, 2, 4, 8 bar selections to quickly chop out loops at different lengths
Snap to Grid - Enable grid snapping for precise loop alignment
Set Start - Click to manually align the grid to where the first beat actually starts
Loop Mode - Toggle loop to preview how your sample will sound when repeated
